Kickin' It!

Last night we went out to enjoy this awesome weather we are still having.  The girls started an impromptu game of kick ball.  It's the unplanned, little, everyday things that make up the best memories.  The girls laughed, and ran, and just got dirty.  It's what Spring is suppose to be about.  I'm really looking forward to a whole summer of playtime!

Spring Break 2012

This year we decided to stay close to home for Spring Break.  We took a little time to visit some family and took a day to walk around McCormicks Creek.  We took along the camera and made some time for a mini photo session while we were there.  Even Granny joined in for a picture or two.  It was a nice day for the walk and we got to see the simplistic beauty of nature.

The Greatest Show On Earth!

Kaylen participated in this years school show. She was fun to watch singing and dancing along to each song. She had a special part of playing the Red Tone Bell. How cute!

It was extremely warm in the gym. It is not air-conditioned and we have been setting record temperatures this week. The high was 85 degrees the day of the play. Pack in a few hundred bodies, not air movement, and lots of lights and you have a good recipe for HOT!

Despite everything, the kids all had a good time. The Hadi Shrine Clowns came out for some intermission entertainment. They asked Kendall if she would be willing to help out with part of the show, but little did she know she would become the butt of the joke! She was a good sport about it, and had a lot of fun.

Today's Family Project

Today was so nice out that we took the day to put together the new Trampoline. The girls were a HUGE help. I was so proud of them! It was surprisingly easy to assemble. Instructions were really easy, and only a couple of spots that took 2 adults to get the job done. We all soaked up the sun and got a little rosie on the shoulders. The girls had so much fun running around without their shoes. Just look at those dirty little feet!

Making Materpieces

The weather outside has been so incredibly nice this year that the girls have been looking for any reason they can to get outside. I can't say that I blame them! They found some cardboard we have planned to dispose of and decided to make some art work. They are both so creative. I am really proud of them. Now, to find an easy way to get the paint off the deck that missed the cardboard!

Cheer Finale

The Cheer Finale was a lot of fun. This being our first year with the Upwards Program, we had no idea what to expect. They really went all out for the kids. The cheer teams all performed special dance routines, and they had a guest speaker talk about the whole idea behind the program.....sharing the love of Jesus. The girls are already looking forward to next year!
