The Greatest Show On Earth!

Kaylen participated in this years school show. She was fun to watch singing and dancing along to each song. She had a special part of playing the Red Tone Bell. How cute!

It was extremely warm in the gym. It is not air-conditioned and we have been setting record temperatures this week. The high was 85 degrees the day of the play. Pack in a few hundred bodies, not air movement, and lots of lights and you have a good recipe for HOT!

Despite everything, the kids all had a good time. The Hadi Shrine Clowns came out for some intermission entertainment. They asked Kendall if she would be willing to help out with part of the show, but little did she know she would become the butt of the joke! She was a good sport about it, and had a lot of fun.

Today's Family Project

Today was so nice out that we took the day to put together the new Trampoline. The girls were a HUGE help. I was so proud of them! It was surprisingly easy to assemble. Instructions were really easy, and only a couple of spots that took 2 adults to get the job done. We all soaked up the sun and got a little rosie on the shoulders. The girls had so much fun running around without their shoes. Just look at those dirty little feet!

Making Materpieces

The weather outside has been so incredibly nice this year that the girls have been looking for any reason they can to get outside. I can't say that I blame them! They found some cardboard we have planned to dispose of and decided to make some art work. They are both so creative. I am really proud of them. Now, to find an easy way to get the paint off the deck that missed the cardboard!

Cheer Finale

The Cheer Finale was a lot of fun. This being our first year with the Upwards Program, we had no idea what to expect. They really went all out for the kids. The cheer teams all performed special dance routines, and they had a guest speaker talk about the whole idea behind the program.....sharing the love of Jesus. The girls are already looking forward to next year!

Kendall's 8th Birthday!

A big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Kendall! It has been a fun year watching her grow. She may still be young, but this year she has definitely gone from a little girl into a young lady. She really blows me away with how mature she is. She isn't afraid to be independant, but she's also the biggest cuddle bug I know. I love her creativity, kind heart, and ambition. I love you Kenny! I can't wait to see the woman you become.

My Mighty Megaphone Munchkin's

The girls have been doing a fantastic job with Cheer Leading. Both girls are loud and cheery and do a wonderful job leading their other cheermates as well. The season is winding down, and they will get to perform a dance at the Appreciation Banquet. The only thing they love more than cheering is dancing. They are having a blast!

Chili Cook-Off: Abundant Life Church

Bobby participated in the 3rd Annual Chili Cook Off at our new church, Abundant Life Community Church. He had such a good time. The men created teams with individual theme's and attempted to out-do one another. Some made super spicy recipes, some made creative concoctions, and some where simple and traditional. Bobby's team had a pirate theme and they really did it up. I was so proud of them. Everyone involved did a great job and made the night a lot of fun. It was a great opportunity for us to get to know the church members better and laugh.
